About Jared Utterback

Jared has a lifelong passion for building, and the integration of innovation in construction.  He has been the lead project executive and an integral part of building many custom homes, single and multi-family communities, parking garages, steel structures, schools, and other multi-million dollar projects in his 20 years in the construction industry.  Jared grew up in the construction industry learning and working with his father, Tom Utterback, who founded a reputable and very successful insulation contracting company in 1975.  Tom instills a passionate work ethic and customer based approach to the “UBACK way” of the company.  Every owner immediately recognizes the hands on, ever-present aspect that UBACK brings to each project.

At an early age Jared knew he wanted to build, and while coming up in the industry he recognized the joy of building and owning a home.  “While building homes for a company after college I would offer to do all of the final homeowner walk-throughs for other builders,” he says, “moving a family into a new home was a enjoyable, life-changing experience for them.”

From the beginning of a project to the end result Jared understands that attention to detail, listening, patience, creativity, and transparency are all essential to the construction process.

Jared advises on construction industry subject matters including energy efficiency, project management, and regulatory compliance.

He is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, and dedicated to sustainable construction with a focus on green building solutions as a custom home builder.

Jared’s experience and expertise have given him extensive knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements in the construction industry.

Jared is a graduate of the University of Florida with dual degrees in Building Construction and Economics, and he is also a Florida Certified Building Contractor.
